Kennedy Space Center is NASA's prime location for rocket launches and the only location where the space shuttle is launched.

However, Kennedy Space Center is far more than that: it is also a top-notch tourist attraction for those interested in spaceflight and techonology. The space center is a full day of activities, if not longer. You can visit numerous exhibits in the main complex and take a bus tour of the industrial area. On that tour, you can get up close to a real space shuttle main engine, touch a moon rock and see actual space hardware being prepared in the international space station center.

For the real space enthusiast, you can even get much closer look at the industrial area via the so-called up close tour - or view where it all started in the "now and then" tour. The later allows you to visit the early launch sites on Cape Canaveral.

In the Astronaut Hall of Fame you can experience g-forces and partcipate in a number of other experiments. Not to mention all the original artifacts only shown here.

Kennedy Space Center is the tech lover's Disneyland -- only that everything here is about real things.
