Discovery in higher altitude - look at the lower left of the picture. I didn't look through the viewfinder, as I wanted to experience the launch, not take photos. So most of my pictures in this phase have just the clouds ;)

Another one of the better shots in this phase. Discovery on the left, I think around 90 seconds after launch.

Discovery is probably in orbit by now...

(Very) soon after launch, NASA causeway is deserted...

All these busses head back to Kennedy Space Center as quickly as possible. Imagine the traffic...

Wanna lunch? No way without a long line. This is Kennedy Space Center's Orbit caffee *after* the crowds have mostly cleared ...

And, yes, shuttle Explorer is also quite busy on those days...

The launch viewing area of NASA Causewa (Panaroma from a few pictures). This was taken relatively early, thus the few people. Later it gets crowded.
