The european space lab "Columbus" in NASA's Kennedy Space Center International Space Station Processing Facility as seen from the visitor galley on October, 22nd 2007.

Description : Columbus will be launched on December, 6th onboard the space shuttle Atlantis (STS-122 mission). When I saw it in October, it were probably in its last days at the ISS processing facility.

I saw it during Kennedy Space Center's bus tour, which comes together with the "Max Access" admission. I highly recommend visiting all stops! Its a rare chance to look at real space hardware (just imagine I stood a few feet away from the thing that actually is attached to the ISS soon ... ;)).
